IN MEMORY OF FIRE CHIEF CRAIG E. HAUN
1957 - 2014
On November 24, 2014, Fire Chief Craig Haun passed away, losing his hard fought battle with cancer. He served the Lake Mary Fire Department, our City and the community with great dedication for 16 years before retiring in September due to his illness.
Chief Haun joined the Lake Mary team in June of 1998 and was part of and responsible for the significant growth of the fire department. He was instrumental in achieving many things that improved services for the residents such as adding a second station, adding ALS rescue and transport services, and the construction of two new stations.
Chief Haun was a very passionate leader and a true asset to the City of Lake Mary. We are proud of and grateful for the leadership he provided and the work he had done in making Lake Mary a premier fire department.
Although he is no longer with us, Chief Haun leaves behind a great legacy and will always be considered a member of the Lake Mary family.
