On behalf of the men and women of the Lake Mary Fire Department (LMFD) I would like to welcome you to our official website. The Lake Mary Fire Department is committed to providing the highest level of customer service. The department provides an array of services which include: Fire Prevention, Fire Suppression, Rescue, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Public Education and Emergency Management. The department’s current Insurance Services Organization Rating is a class 3.
The City of Lake Mary is nestled in Seminole County Florida. The department serves a full time residential population of 15,905 which due to business traffic and visitors can grow to over 35,000. We are located approximately 18 miles north of Orlando, Florida just off Interstate 4 and have jurisdiction over an area in excess of nine square miles. The department also participates in the Seminole County Mutual Aid First Response System. This system allows for a seamless and consistent level of service between the various cities and unincorporated areas within the County; all working under the same guidelines and protocols. The department is comprised of 45 personnel which operate out of two strategically located fire stations. Daily fire station staffing include: two ALS Fire Engines, two ALS Rescues and one Battalion Chief. In addition to Emergency Operations personnel is an administrative staff which includes the Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, Battalion Chief of Training, Fire Marshal, three Fire Inspectors, and two Administrative Support personnel.
In 2015, I was given the privilege of being appointed the Fire Chief of the great City of Lake Mary. I want you to know that as your Fire Chief, I will work to continuously improve services, and will provide the leadership necessary to ensure that the City of Lake Mary is one of the safest communities in Seminole County, Florida. Our mission is to safeguard the quality of life for our community.
