Floridians whose homes have undergone wind certification and hurricane mitigation inspections approved by the Department of Financial Services may be eligible to apply for matching grants up to $5,000. The My Safe Florida Home program is working with local governments and the Volunteer Florida Foundation to offer low-income homeowners an opportunity to strengthen their homes against natural disasters. If you have any mosquito-related concerns, you may contact them at 407-665-5542, or by e-mail to mosquito@seminolecountyfl.gov Office hours are 8AM- 5PM Monday through Friday and calls after hours will be returned the next business day. The County will then generate a work order and inspect within 48 hours and treat for larvae if needed.
