Security System Registrations All security system alarms, whether monitored by an independent contracting alarm service, or whether they automatically dial the non-emergency telephone number for the police department must be registered with the Police Department.
This registration is a simple form to complete that includes the names and telephone numbers of three (3) persons to be contacted in the event of an alarm activation or other emergency at the address of the alarm. The city ordinance also has provisions wherein the owner or person responsible for the alarm system where repeated false alarms are reported to the Police Department may be fined for the alarms. For a copy of the city ordinance please see attached link to the alarm ordinance.
