This Hatha based program focuses on creating awareness of the connection of the body, mind, and breath. It involves deep breathing with gentle stretching and movement. Ages 55+
Central Florida Regional Hospital sponsors H2U (Health To You) yoga. This one hour yoga class is open to adults of all ages and offers both beginner and intermediate poses.
Yoga provides tangible tools that allow one to expand awareness and overcome limitations both mentally and physically. It improves strength, focus, balance and insight both on and off the mat. At the end of class, many people experience a sense of peace and tranquility, as there is a realignment of the body, which in turn organically shifts perception and expands insight of self.This low impact, total body workout gives everyone a boost! The instructors guide you through sessions designed exclusively for older adults. No matter what your fitness level, you can work at the pace you prefer to improve your strength, flexibility, balance, agility and coordination.
This centuries-old Chinese practice designed to exercise the mind and body through a series of gentle, flowing postures that create a kind of synchronized dance. The movement is slow, graceful, and fluid.
This is a wonderful community group that brings people together and gives back to the community through sewing and crafts.
The primary goal of this program is to reduce victimization of senior citizens who are targeted for specific crimes based on their age.
