Sanitary Sewer: The City has over 29 miles of residential and commercial sanitary sewer lines ranging from 4 inches to 18 inches in size and owns and operates 16 wastewater pumping stations (lift stations). There are three lift stations in Primera, five in Timacuan, two master lift stations on Rinehart Road, and one each at the following locations: 4th Street, The Forest, Lake Mary Prep, Manderley, Woodbridge and Lake Mary Boulevard. The wastewater is treated at the Seminole County Greenwood Lakes Wastewater Treatment Facility.
Septic Tanks: The regulation of septic tanks is under the jurisdiction of the Seminole County Health Department. If you are experiencing problems with your septic tank, we recommended that you call a licensed septic tank contractor.
Additionally, the City also recommends that residents service their septic tanks as needed to ensure that they are operating efficiently.
If you are inquiring about the permitting and inspection of a septic tank, you can call the Seminole County Health Department at 407-665-3604 or visit Onsite Sewage and Disposal website.
