City Manager

Like many cities in Florida, Lake Mary operates under a Commission/Manager form of Government where policy-making and legislative authority is vested in an elected body consisting of a Mayor and four Commissioners. The City Manager is a Charter Officer appointed by the City Commission that serves as the chief administrative officer and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the City.

As your City Manager, my responsibility is to carry out the policy directives of the City Commission in an efficient and effective manner. I am assisted in this effort by a highly qualified and dedicated staff led by our department directors. They are: Brent Mason - Finance Director, Michelle McCurdy - City Clerk, Mike Biles - Police Chief, Frank Cornier - Fire Chief, Bruce Paster - Public Works Director, Steve Noto - Community Development Director & Bryan Nipe - Parks & Recreation Director. All are extremely competent in what they do which is reflected in the day-to-day service delivery that we provide.
