Lake Mary Tennis Center

The Lake Mary Tennis Center is a beautiful facility which features 7 Har-Tru clay courts with restrooms/shower facility. Operated by the Lake Mary Parks and Recreation Department, the Lake Mary Tennis Center provides top rated courts for a wide variety of skill levels and tennis programs.

John has been playing tennis for over 50 years while playing in leagues and tournaments for the last 25 years. John has reached a USTA rating of 4.5 during his time playing tennis while also being USPTA Certified for 10 years. John mainly focuses on Junior development and beginners but has trained many players throughout their entire playing career. John offers a variety of group lessons, clinics and private lessons. John has huge passion for teaching new tennis players the fundamentals of what it takes to be a great player.

Born and raised in Switzerland, tennis has been a part of Stefanie's life since the age of 5. She moved to the US in 2018 and started SM Swiss Tennis Academy where she continues to pass on her unique set of skills and successful methods of training. Stefanie specializes in coaching both kids and adults, fostering a diverse community of tennis enthusiasts. She understands that every student is unique and tailors her approach to suit individual needs, ensuring that each player reaches their full potential. 


Whether you're a beginner looking to grasp the fundamentals or an advanced player striving for excellence, her goal is to guide you on your tennis journey 


Tennis Pro Lessons & Programs

Lesson types available:

  • Private
  • Semi-Private
  • Group/Team

Fees for lessons and programs vary based on the length of lesson time as well as individual vs group setting.

Programs Available:

  • Junior Tennis
    • An ongoing program designed to teach the fundamental strokes of tennis while in a group environment. This program runs every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6 pm (depending on the weather). Classes are divided by age and skill level and class size may vary from session to session.
  • Round Robin's
    • Men's Round Robin are every Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8-10am. Program is free to active members of the Tennis Center and $5 for non members per session. 
    • Women's Round Robin is every Wednesday night from 5:30-7:30pm. Program is free to active members of the Tennis Center and $5 for non members per session.

The Lake Mary Parks & Recreation Department utilizes the Earth Networks Sferic Maps weather service to monitor lightning and severe weather situations for the Lake Mary Sports Complex and Lake Mary Tennis Center.  Any lightning strike inside a 7-mile radius of the facilities will result in the suspension of play/rentals on all fields, courts, playgrounds, splash pad, and skate park.  Play/rentals will only resume once staff has been issued an all clear by the weather service.
