City Manager

Like many cities in Florida, Lake Mary operates under a Commission/Manager form of Government where policy-making and legislative authority is vested in an elected body consisting of a Mayor and four Commissioners. The City Manager is a Charter Officer appointed by the City Commission that serves as the chief administrative officer and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the City.

As your City Manager, my responsibility is to carry out the policy directives of the City Commission in an efficient and effective manner. I am assisted in this effort by a highly qualified and dedicated staff led by our Assistant City Manager, Stephen Noto, and our department directors:

  • Brent Mason: Finance Director
  • Michelle McCurdy: City Clerk
  • Mike Biles: Police Chief
  • Michael Johansmeyer: Fire Chief
  • Bruce Paster: Public Works Director
  • Krystal Clem: Community Development Director
  • Bryan Nipe: Parks and Recreation Director

All are extremely competent in what they do which is reflected in the day-to-day service delivery that we provide.

If you have questions, please feel free to call the City Manager. We also invite you to attend our City Commission meetings the first and third Thursdays of every month beginning at 7:00 P.M.
